In what could only be described as a great game
Impact spoiled Joy’s return to the pro paintball
world with a 6-5 win. Many of the CPL early
round games went as expected. MLKings beat
Paris Camp Carnage 5-3, Breakout Spa beat
Offenburg Comin At Ya 9-4, Toulouse TonTons
beat PPArena Pilsen7-2 and Russian Legion beat
Paris Camp Carnage 6-1.
In the CPL quarterfinals Russian Legion took care
of Joy Division handily 6-1, which came as a mild
surprise as well as Joy was playing. Breakout Spa
shut out Ground Kontrol Paris 5-0, The TonTons
barely got past FiveStar Lleida 6-5 and Edmonton

Impact easily swept Manchester Firm 5-0.
Three of the four semifinalists from the 2017
Mediterranean Cup were familiar faces to those
following the league past season, with Edmonton
Impact, Toulouse TonTons and Breakout Spa
making the finals in just about every event
and finishing first through third respectively in
the series rankings for the year. In the first CPL
semifinal game it was the TonTons again with a
one-point win, this time versus Breakout Spa,
