But the Expendables Feilding beating
Moscow Red Legion again in the quarterfinals
is breaking news and that’s exactly what
happened. MLKings gave everything they
had against Houston Heat but came up a
point short and Edmonton Impact easily
beat PPArena Pilsen 6-1.
The Pro Xball semifinals were just incredible.
Houston Heat and the Expendables played
a low scoring game where every move could
either push your team to the finals or send
them home. In the end Houston Heat did the
pushing, sending Expendables home one
match earlier than they wanted with a 2-1
win. But what an event for the first time pros
from New Zealand! In the corresponding Pro
semifinal Match it was another great one,
with Edmonton Impact just getting by the
TonTons 5-4.

And here we are in the finals with Houston
Heat versus Edmonton Impact—the matchup
many would have predicted. But each had to
scratch and claw their way to the final round
as no one rolled over for these guys. As the
fog rolled in early this Sunday morning it just
felt like a big day for pro paintball. The match
started and it was Impact taking the early
lead but Heat would answer quickly. The
entire match was back and forth with neither
team being able to pull away. And with one
minute to go Houston Heat had a 4-3 lead but
Impact pushed back to tie it up (after some
confusion and a Fedorov penalty). The match
went to overtime and in this one-on-one it
was Chad George stepping up big time for
Houston Heat, getting the elimination and
the big win for Houston Heat!
