during vendor setup quickly deteriorated Friday morning as players began arriving, as the weather turned cool, rain fell and the wind picked up considerably. Tents started flipping and vendors had to batten down their hatches to ensure awnings, tents and product weren’t damaged by the weather, as temperatures dropped into the forties and a chilly rain came down. This didn’t deter dozens of hard-core mag-fed and pump players, who took to the CPX fields Friday afternoon for paintball games in spite of the nasty weather. The rain continued Saturday but thankfully temperatures clawed their way back into the low sixties for Saturday morning’s festivities. Just in time for the players to converge on the stage for the briefing, introduction of the various “Legends” in attendance and the induction of several longtime members of the industry into a Hall of Fame, the rain kicked into high gear causing players in front of the stage to huddle under trash bags, ponchos and umbrellas (or get drenched) as those on-stage did the same. www.paintball.media 023
