regulation as the crowd goes wild and
Impact walks to their pit confused as to what
just happened. The 5 minute, winner-take-all
overtime point would feel like a lifetime as we
watched both teams conservatively attempt
to structure a strategy. Chaos would soon
ensue as a trade up the middle, a double kill
move by Fedorov on the Dorito side and a
two on one (Chad George and Sam Monville
of heat versus Keith Brown of Imapct) in favor
of Heat turns around and into one of the most
dramatic endings we’ve seen in some time.
In an attempt to spread the field, Heat loses
Sam Monville on the move with just shy of
two minutes remaining and the event on the
line. Fans sat quiet, patiently watching every
movement and every snap shot taken by
Brown and George. The clock, tick..tick..tick..
winding down as each conservatively sends
paint across the field. Mirrored up in the
snake side insert tower, a minute would go
by until Chad George is able to catch Keith
Brown. Quiet turned to ecstatic cheering in

an instant as George takes off towards the
buzzer to put the period at the end of the
paragraph that was the Texas Open Pro
division. With a final score of 5 to 4, Heat
takes their first win of 2017, second over the
last year and sixth win in the Professional
American circuit since their re-birth.
The 2017 Texas Open concludes, with
Edmonton Impact and Sacramento DMG
maintain their top season standings in their
respective divisions. The race for season
placement continues June 23rd to 25th when
the NXL heads to Atlantic City, New Jersey
for the third event of the season. Make sure
