The Millennium Series held its second
event in their traditional location and venue
of Bitburg, Germany—and specifically
Sportschule Bitburg Sportpark. If you’ve not
been to a European Masters event held here
you are missing out on something special.
This sports complex has everything a paintball
player or team could want in a venue. Flat
grass fields are only one of the highlights of
the venue. Sportschule Bitburg Sportpark
has its own hotel right on the property—and
there are others as well, all fairly priced and
definitely adequate for teams and players.
And the hotels are literally walking distance
from the playing fields, although many drive
instead of hauling their gear. Also on the
property are a few restaurants, including the
one at the main hotel, which also has a beer
garden (a/k/a biergarten). For those wanting
to get off the property, downtown Bitburg is
about a 10 minute drive and it’s your typical
German city—tons of restaurants, pubs,
shopping and more.
THE GAMES
The CPL (Pro) Division got off to a very
interesting start right from game one as
Russian Legion Moscow lost its Friday
opener to FiveStar Lleida. Not a shock, but
a surprise for sure. And of course they went
on to win the remaining three preliminary
round games, making it to the Sunday Club.
