BOREDshorts MOUNTAIN DEW COMMERCIAL Mountain Dew made a commercial with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and paintball players! Although the commercial does pose some safety issues with the sport including overshooting and masks coming off on the field (which is NOT ok), it is a great promotional commercial for the sport. You see paintball sometimes in movies but most of the time it is unrealistic. Besides the obvious safety concerns and a stock car on the field, it did a pretty great job at showing how fun the sport can be! The more people we can get to see how great this sport is and how much it is growing the better. TEAM DEFIANT, COMBAT WOUNDED VETERAN PAINTBALL TEAM Team Defiant consists of combat wounded veterans and other disabled persons. They utilize equipment like Action Track chairs to get disabled people outdoors again doing the things they used to love to do. Team Defiant is sponsored by Valken Sports, which is a support system for this awesome group! These chairs that the team utilizes are capable of going over all sorts of terrain including tree stumps, fallen trees, rocks, and whatever kind of terrain they may come across in scenario events. Founder Spencer Tesanovich and his team are very admirable for their strides they have made. GUNS FOR HOSES RAISES $32,000 Guns for Hoses Paintball have raised over $32,000 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. For 6 seasons Guns for Hoses Paintball has raised money through paintball events in New England to benefit the NFFF. On May 4th over 300 players and numerous spectators gathered at Xtreme Paintball in Agawam, MA for the NFFF. At the end of the day, a portion of the day’s entry and paint sales, as well as raffles and private donations were tallied. This one event made over 10 times the average amount raised over the past 6 seasons! Way to go guys!
