But Steve, you said there was a flaw? Yes, I did. Here is my concern. Most old school paintball players when playing just for fun will cut the speed eject elastics off their pod packs. They do this so that during recreational games, they can simply take their empty pod, turn it lid end to the sky and stick it “upside down” in their pack. This prevents the need of having to walk all over the field looking for used pods. Now it a tournament game, this is not an issue, you just drop pods as you go. With the way the retention system is designed, I am fairly certain that cutting the speed eject elastics would compromise the whole system. The pods would not be held securely I fear and that would lead to losing full pods mid game. I am not 100% sure about this but I’m not going to cut up my pack to find out. One last tip to share about this pack. I was talking with badass pro player Rich Martinez who loves/uses these packs, and he had some advice for me. He said be sure to keep the thumb tabs of the pods pointed out and away from the body as sometimes they can catch and open the pod during play. Good advice and thought I would share. Play with passion everybody! (P.S. Do you know how hard it is for an old guy to take a selfie of his own butt? Someone please email Amodea and let him know I deserve danger pay.) www.paintball.media 081
