water, they were hungry. All players and both
commanders had one last event standing
between them and victory, the final battle.
Everyone that played Dreaded Legends 5 had
to notice the spectacular orange and white
jerseys throughout the field, Solstice Law was
back again. The ref staff known as Solstice Law
has taken the paintball world by storm. They
are efficient and on point, safety and fair play
are their main objectives, all while making
paintball fun again. Many amazing refs have
graced the Legends Events series but known
as unique and proficient as Solstice Law and
nobody can deny, they have style and an
unmatched flare. Safety is always the main
priority, or it should be, when it comes to a ref
staff. Many groups make this and field paint
their only priorities while leaving fair play up
to the players. Solstice Law makes sure the
games are safe, fair and fun. We as players of
CPX events, and any other games this ref staff
attends, should consider ourselves lucky. Refs
make our game happen the right way, you
may not always like their call but remember,
they sacrifice their play time so you may have
a game structure, do not forget to thank your
refs.
Tension and excitement were thick in the
air Sunday afternoon. The Buccaneers had
dominated the scoreboard on day one, but the
Marauders mirrored those actions on day two.
Was it enough to overcome the Buccaneer
lead? Most would assume it was not. With
the final battle being the only strife left in the
war and nobody exactly in the know about the
score, except for game staff, a thick cloud of
confusion and anticipation settled over the
crowd. Thirty minutes remained, one last
chance, one last cannon fire thrashed through
the air as warriors, soldiers, and players from
both sides ran down slapsticks for a chance of
propelling their team into victory and eternal
glory. Players do not exactly know when the
ref will score the stick so they must begin to
volley it back and forth, taking hit after hit, one
brave player after another gives their team an
opportunity to overcome the other. Shooters
lined bunkers to torch whoever dared to
approach the slap stick.
