high on the list of unforgettable games, and that those
that missed it, missed an incredible experience.
Late in the afternoon, players abandoned the bunkhouses
and hotels for the drive home. Some remained another
night for flights out on Monday morning. All were agreed
on one thing – it had been one hell of a weekend.
“Blue” did not announce it, but several EMR staff members
said that this was something of an attendance record for
a Castle Conquest. “We’ve had eight or nine hundred
before, but this was closer to 1200; maybe more.” said
one. The exact count was not available at press time, but
the SWAG (Scientific Wild-Ass Guess) was between 1175,
and 1225.
and Charlie ‘Happy’ Holton, among others, that came
out to add “celebrity status” to a fantastic weekend.
Thanks also, to the referees that kept everything running
smoothly, and to the support staff, that handles all the
details of the field.
The next Castle Conquest will be the inaugural event
for the new castle, and will be held September 27-28,
at EMR Paintball. “Blue,” Sue, and “Deuce,” along with
the EMR staff, invite everyone to come out and share the
