See You In Court
Corporate lawsuits and specifically intellectual property lawsuits are
commonplace in all types of industries and paintball is no exception. Paintball
product patents have been challenged for decades. Whether it’s the vast array of mid-
2000s lawsuits over patient infringements or the more recent “breach of contract”
allegations, there’s nothing new here. That said, the past five years have brought
relative peace to the paintball industry and that’s a good thing for us all, although
much of this law nonsense has no
effect on our playing experience or
pricing.
Prediction:
A major player
in paintball is going to shake up
the industry behind the scenes with
new intellectual property lawsuits
that’s going to remind us of 2007.
