Not So Shocking
Chicago Aftershock recently announced they are leaving the NXL. The
past few years have been tough for Aftershock but this past season was
hard to watch. In five 2018 NXL events in the pro division, Aftershock’s best finish was
16th place. This from one of the greatest paintball teams in history. It was time for a
change for ‘Shock and their decision to play in the NXL’s International Classic Paintball
League was a smart one. Going back to the team’s roots make sense.
Prediction:
Not sure which of these players will show up for the ICPL events
(Renick Miller, Mike Bruno, Danny Love, Steve Copeland, Gary Noblett, John “Spud”
Jackson, Steve Elbrecht, Ryan Northrup, Fred Eicke, Rob Northrup, Donna Eicke, Tim
Brown, Bruce Tognetti and/or Michael Karmin) but whoever they field will be great.
Aftershock will win the 2019 ICPL Professional title. Everything old is new again for
Aftershock as they return to the game that made them a household name in paintball.
