Another interesting dynamic is how Viper handles the potential of two armies ganging up on one. He addresses this with rules regarding both Declared Alliances and Undeclared Alliances. A declared alliance is when two armies have made some sort of official statement through their base ref. At that point both ally teams will only receive half of their completed points for each hour the alliance continues. An undeclared alliance is when two armies simply stop combating each other and seem to be fighting along-side each other, but have not declared an alliance. In this instance, both armies receive NO points for that hour. This makes things more interesting in the grand scheme. As a player, I had the task of being Head of Security for the Red Queen, and let me tell you, it was no easy task. With two separate armies attacking at random intervals, and sometimes simultaneously, security was a daunting task, but I was prepared! Of course, some losses are inevitable but I did my best and ultimately considered my weekend task a success! And, for the record, Miz Karriage is not an easy person to run close-protection for since she loves the action of the sport. Of course, the medics and demolitions folks certainly had their work cut out for them all weekend as well! Just getting close enough to some of the objective points was a big enough challenge. And of course there was the infamous Viper Final Battle. 74 paintball.media magazine
