When the game ended at 14:00 it was
obvious that Warsaw had not only won the
day but the game. However, on both days
as NATO commander I can honestly say
that every player under my command never
gave up on the outcome of the game. Both
sides fought hard for every minute of the
clock and every inch of ground. The play
was honorable, the referees were incredible
and on the ball all weekend long. But most
of all everyone had a great time on and off
the field.
During the closing ceremonies both
generals gave out several awards to
recognize outstanding players and teams.
There were smiles all around. Not one
player on either side really cared who
won or lost because they got to play their
favorite sport with friends both old and
new. Stories were told and tales of heroism
were shared.
When the final points total was read
it included the all the numbers for the
game. For me as a player, General and
manufacturer in the sport these are
awesome stats and something all fields
should strive to match or beat.
