Division Two Xball is jam-packed with competitive and up and coming teams. Division Four Xball is probably the least predictable of all divisions. Many teams have entered just one or two events and played well and some have entered all five events and have not much to show for it. Then there’s PaintballFit.com, who won Las Vegas, won Texas, didn’t play Atlantic City and then won Chicago. Heading into the World Cup this is clearly the best team in the division but their missed event made it nearly impossible to win the title. Noobies have played all five events and even with a 21st showing here at the World Cup, they still managed to win the title. PaintballFit.com placed 5th at the Cup and that was enough to secure second place in the final standings. “So who won Division Four at the Cup,” you ask? That would be DSO, playing their first Division Four event of the 2018 season. Like I said… unpredictable. 050 paintball.media magazine Fifteen teams entered the Open Ten-Man Division at the World Cup. If you’ve not followed the game closely the past two years you may have missed the huge resurgence in the ten-man play. As they have for the past few seasons, the NXL has incorporated this into their events and it’s been a blast for all that have had a chance to play—and this event was no exception. Washington Winstons are the only team to play all five events in the Open Ten-Man Division, so it will come as no surprise that even with their 11th place finish at the Cup, they still won the series title going away. Interestingly it was Boom that would walk away winners at this year’s Cup and even more interesting that they played in only two ten-man events and won them both. NRG took second place and Prague’s MLKings took third.
