And as you may have guessed these are
the top three teams in the division rankings
battle. What is a bit surprising is that of the
three top teams only Texas PhalanX Gray
has a win under their belts this season.
Playing in their first NXL event of the season
HVP Wrecking Crew came away with the
first place trophy by virtue of a 3-2 win over
NRG Elite Alpha, also playing their first NXL
tournament in 2017.
Detroit Action IV took first in Division Five five-
man and The eNMEy took the Mechanical
five-man division for the third straight time
this season.
WRAPPING UP….
The weather was a bit scary at times in
Atlantic City but in the end it had little effect
on the games, other than a bit of a late start
on Saturday. Almost 200 teams showed up
for Atlantic City and that’s a huge win for the
league. The NXL just keeps getting better
and better and now there is a lot of talk that
the league will be making a push to either
buy the Millennium Series or start their own
European league next season. Stay tuned.
The Ten-Man Open Division of the Atlantic
City Open was very interesting. Fox4
Darkside lost three of their first five games but
ratcheted up their play to win the final three
preliminary round games, then dominated
in quarterfinals, semifinals and finals to take
first place. Washington Winstons, AAF2 and
DC Dev rounded out the final four.
