ac: Dallas got off to a very fast start in New
Jersey with three wins and a loss, thanks
in large part to the excellent play by Ryan
Hall. In fact it was ac: Dallas that handed
Edmonton Impact their only preliminary
round loss. (Side note: Zane Yachimec of
Edmonton Impact missed the event with
an ankle injury.) But in a very strange turn of
events ac: Dallas would miss the Sunday cut
on a three way tie-breaker that went down
to the third tie-breaker option. The oddity

is that while ac: Dallas lost 4-3 to San Diego
Dynasty, a 7-0 loss would have put them in
the Sunday Club. Impact got in on “point
spread,” Dynasty got in by beating ac: Dallas

and
ac: Dallas is the odd team out. Had
Dynasty beaten ac: Dallas 7-0, they (Dynasty)
would have had the first tie-breaker and then
ac: Dallas would have gotten in by virtue of
their win head to head versus Impact. Odd
circumstances to say the least.
