The 750 acres at Skirmish afford more than
enough space for the gigantic playing field
used for this game, as well as for the several
thousand camping on-site. Some players began
showing up mid-week for this Friday through
Sunday event, but the majority pulled into the
parking areas beginning on Friday morning. I
arrived at Skirmish around dinner time and the
place was jumping. Players were gearing up for
the Friday night game; others were getting their
equipment ready for Saturday; the checking-
in area was packed; air fill lines were long but
moving quickly; and the vendor village was alive.

Vendors on-site included Valken, GI Sportz,
Virtue Paintball, Tippmann, Planet Eclipse, Ninja
Paintball, GOG, Luxe, Field One, GoSports,
Social Paintball and a large handful of smaller
distributors and retailers. Foot traffic in the
vendor area was solid all weekend long and
many of the vendors were running specials, two-
for-ones, and other deals.
Around 10:30AM Saturday there was an opening
ceremony and rules meeting. Game Producer
