be trucked on to the field and it delayed the
game for about 30 minutes which caused the
airborne units and other units to be out of
position at game on. But, like in real war, after
the first shots are fired all battle plans can be
thrown out the window. At Oklahoma D-Day
mother nature loves to put her hands into the
game strategy. There were hard fights on all
the beaches, during the early morning hours,
along with Caen and Pegasus Bridge were also
fought over all day long. No matter where the
Allies turned a German unit seemed to pop
up and be in their way. By mid-day the Allies
had made progress and had pushed up the
field into Colleville and its surrounding area.
As always the Germans fought hard and were
tenacious and did not give up ground easily
right until the final minute of the game.
