Players of all skill levels with all types of equipment fought side-by-side, the chatter of Tippmanns broken by the ramping of fastshooting tournament markers while well-aimed shots from pump markers, stock guns and pistols sailed through the air. Between the weather and the terrain, what was intended to be a World War Two scenario sometimes more closely resembled something between Vietnam and the Battle for Endor. As thousands of players slugged it out on the Normandy Beach for the weekend’s final battle, the scores were tallied and it was clear – the Allies were victorious with a final score of 81 to 46. Both teams spent every last ounce of energy to battle it out on the paintball field and the incredible event was a great success.
