Good Looking Loaders The Pinokio Speed Gets a Hydro-Dipped Face Lift! Text & Photography by Joshua D. Silverman Pinokio Hoppers has spent several years in the industry producing reliable, durable, simple and affordable, if not incredibly attractive, hoppers for the scenario and recreational market. More recently, the company introduced their second hopper, the smaller, lighter, sleeker Speed, which was targeted towards tournament and pump players who desire a smaller target and the lightest and most reliable hopper possible. The Speed delivers on this requirement, but while other loader companies offer multiple colors or even printed designs, the Speed was released only in basic black. This has been remedied with the release for the 2015 season of custom, hydro-dipped Pinokio Speed hoppers offering a unique, attractive and durable finish able to accent almost any marker design, team uniform or individual color preference making the Speed an even more attractive choice for players in search of a small, light, well-balanced, attractive and affordable hopper! Retailing at around one hundred dollars for the basic black model and a bit more for hydro-dipped models, the Pinokio Speed is an affordable loader option in a world of more expensive offerings from companies including Virtue, Dye and Empire. Utilizing the time-tested and proven bend sensor paint detection system rather than eyes or sound systems, the Speed maintains feed rates easily into the high teens and even low twenties per second but does so with a much simpler drive system, resulting in an extremely reliable loader with which jams are practically nonexistent. Powered by two nine-volt batteries inserted quickly and easily into the rear of the loader and very well-balanced, the Speed also features www.paintball.media 91
