SEMI PRO 2 (SPL 2) For teams trying to work their way up the ladder to the CPL (pro) division, one of the steps to get there is to dominate the lower divisions. SPL 2 is one of the swing divisions where there are some really good and talented squads and some that probably won’t be here next year. Four SPL 2 teams made it through the preliminary rounds unscathed. Winning all of their round one games in the SPL 2 were Rain Of Fire Nuernberg, FiveStar Lleida 2, Durham DV8 and Low Life Uddevalla. Low Life Uddevalla made it all the way to the quarterfinals where they beat FiveStar Lleida Two, 4-3. Inflame Regensburg beat Razorback Saint Etienne 4-3, Force Majeure Moscow handled Bandits Wells 4-1, and Bad Boyz Oss 2 sent Dynamix Metz home early 3-1. In the finals Bad Boyz Oss 2 played their best ball of the weekend beating Force Majeure Moscow 4-2 to take first place. In the end it was Headshot Moscow winning their second event of the season, beating Black Cape Gothenburg 4-1 in the finals. Los Angeles Wrecking Crew beat Saar Fanatics 4-2 in the OD2 finals to take home their first ever Millennium Series win. Gladiatori Unicusano won the OD3 division with a final round win over Ogre Moto-Ski 2-1. NATIONS CUP One of the highlights of any Millennium Series event is the Nations Cup and the men got a chance to play this one. If you’re not familiar with the Nations Cup, the theme changes at each event. We had the ladies play earlier this year, we’ve had the men play here in the UK and the U19 (Under 19) will play in Chantilly in September.
