FIELD TEST The Alien Deception is a beautiful looking marker in every way. The machining on the body is flawless and the lines are sleek. As previously mentioned the Deception weighs in at just under two pounds but it’s solidly built. We did beat it up a bit while field testing the marker and it held up perfectly well and shined up as good as new at the end of our testing. No scratches, dents or nicks. Out of the box the first thing we did was put a Ninja SL 77/4500 system on the Deception along with a Pinokio 110 paintball magazine OF II Hopper and some fresh GI Sportz Four Start Paint. Without any adjusting of the velocity we shot a ten-round string over the chronograph and got these results: 284, 287, 285, 285, 285, 286, 285, 284, 285, 284 feet per second. We repeated the ten-shot string four more times and averaged 285 feet per second with a low shot of 283 and a high of 288. Very consistent indeed. Without a way to actually measure the shot “Report” or sound, it’s impossible to tell you how much quieter the Deception is compared to other markers, but we can say this—it is very quiet.
