When you hear the season is starting for paintball,
it’s like the breakfast club of the peculiar sport
that we know and love, getting back together and
getting ready to compete in their favorite events.
It’s another highly anticipated season for the USXBL
for competitive paintball players in the Midwest
and Southern states. The dates have been set for
the three regional series that make up this year’s
league which include the Great Plains, H-Town, and
ever so popular, South Central Regional Series. The
Interstate 10 (I-10) Series has been discontinued
this year due to a concentrated number of events in
Louisiana.
New to the season is the H-Town series, which is
home to the Houston area. Each event will take
place at Paintball Zone, one of the many fields that
were affected by Hurricane Harvey in August 2017.
After many months of recovery and restoration,
Zone has swung open its doors and is fully ready
to host the H-Town events, offering a brand-new
field along with growing their home team, Houston
Zone, that will be competing.
“We are excited to bring a new series to the
Houston area! We have worked hard to make sure
we give teams a premier paintball park to match
this new premier series.” Says Jim Hensley, owner of
Paintball Zone. The season opener will be Saturday,
March 17th for Race to 2, D4 and D5 teams, an
incredible opportunity for beginner level players to
gain more tournament experience.
This league has been built on the philosophy of
truly growing paintball. Over the years, the staff
at USXBL has been constantly improving their
infrastructure on how they can better provide their
players.
