Sunken ships, pirates’ booty and a tiki bar
stocked with rum: a paradise fit for the Pirate
in all of us, and it can be found at Dreaded
Legends in Punta Gorda, FL. Dreaded
Legends has become a popular event in
the CPX Legends Series since its inception
3 years ago. This swashbuckling battle,
graced with Pirate greats such as Captain
Morgan, Blackbeard and Calico Jack, is
located at Florida Tracks and Trails. Punta
Gorda has a history when it comes to Pirates
and Pirating, even having their own Pirate
celebrations and festivals. It is fitting that
this battle among Buccaneer and Marauder
paintballers takes place in such a historic
town. Florida Tracks and Trails and CPX have
gone to great lengths over the last three
years to continually improve this field, add
ons, changes and even subtractions have
been made largely off customer feedback.
Some of the greatest attractions still hold
true whether you’re battling for control of
the village, dealing justice in the courtyard
or seeking out hidden treasure at the ship
wrecks. You are never too far from a shootout
that could stop you dead in your tracks. There
is a group of men that the most thanks goto
when it comes to the improvements in the
field over the years. The MDP Vandals have
invested much pride and workmanship into
the field to create such a unique experience
for the players. The field, palm plants, and
beautiful sunny weather swept the northern
winter blues right from under my nose!
