reinsertion, and only the true covert ops
reign supreme. The magfed elite were
able to move about the field and govern
themselves. A few players, not accustomed
to FL magfed were extremely pleased at the
tight community amongst magfed players.
Much in love with the sport and the nature
of their competition, a fairly evenly matched
bunch tested the waters for all of us. They
got the chance to run not only parts of the
field but also take each other on at the final
battle field. After the magfed game it was
time to draw the line in the sand, not decided
amongst a coin flip or paper, rock, scissor,
but a competition built for the warriors in
all of us, flippy cup! Some say the side you
choose gives you momentum, some say it
gives you a leg up on the competition and
some say it doesn’t matter, we let fate decide.
Red side was victorious in the fierce battle.
Edging out their opponent in not only speed
and accuracy but thirst as well. A theme that
would be all too common as the weekend
sailed on. Friday ended on an uplifting
note, as players, vendors, refs and family
gathered at the Tiki Bar at FTT, they went
not only for a players party but a ceremony.
We celebrated the CPX producer, DJ Honu
Fox, and his lovely wife, Lani, renewing their
wedding vows in front of the people they love
the most, their paintball family. The torches
were lit, the rum began to flow and steak was
on the grill, for a feast and party are always
needed before charging into battle.
