back to the other team’s scoring
position, so you got shot over 100
times to help the other guys gain points.
With the red team in the lead, the green
players joined blue, the horn screeched
through the air and they were off. The war
cries tearing through the air, the popping of
the guns and the orders being given from every
direction are drowned out by the concentration
and effort it takes to reach the 45 yard line, let alone
those few more paces it takes for the 50 only to be
shot out immediately. Many players vaulted for the
points, some did succeed and some failed but ultimately
everyone was satisfied, through day one and two it may
have been the red team’s game, the final battle belonged to
the blue team.
It is never quite easy to say goodbye to anyone in this world, let
alone say goodbye to a Brother and a teammate. Brandon “Rambo”
Kelley lost his life in the early hours of Saturday morning, just after
enjoying time spent with his Brothers from Venom. From all of us in the
paintball community you will be missed and we will not forget you. Til
Valhalla Brother, rest in peace.
Bones and Ashes 3 had come to an end, with Eric Bryant and his forces dominating
on the final battle field it was time to declare a winner, time to find out who’s
name will forever be etched in glory. To the players that devote their weekends to
playing paintball and their weekdays to wishing they were playing paintball, thank
you, you make this community worth being a part of. To Black Ops Paintball, thank you
for making facilities that players find comfortable and extremely enjoyable, thank you for
your passion. To CPX, Honu and Lani, thank you for bringing exciting paintball scenarios to
the players instead of waiting on them to come to you. To Solstice Law, thank you for being
awesome and damn good at what you do, you make safety and fair play #1 and the games
would not be the same without you. To the photographers and media personnel, thank you
for spending your weekends shooting us with cameras, making us look like heros and giving us
memories that will last a lifetime. Congratulations to Joe Perez of the 13th Legionnaires on your
citing and well deserved three-peat! Thank you everyone for making this event amazing and here
hoping we see all of you at the next CPX event and at the next Black Ops event..
