Closing Words From Rick Chard, Producer of the Paintball Extravaganza International Paintball Extravaganza International with 22 hours presenting product and services. Another new activity to the event was the addition of roundtable discussions on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Each day had a preselected agenda of topics with a moderator to keep on subject. The Wednesday session covered Merchandising/ Family Entertainment/Parties & Alternate Income opportunities while the Thursday session touched on Field Operations/ Personnel Management & Employee Compensation. These sessions proved to be very popular with an average of 40 participants each morning. Discussions stayed on topic and provided a great sharing of information among industry peers. The Paintball Extravaganza International returned to the Hyatt Regency Dulles for the 2018 event after working with over a dozen alternate locations and facilities. Many factors enter into the selection process including discussions with manufacturers, field and stores. These factors along with the trend of the tradeshow industry developing a permanent recognizable long term location led to the decision to return to the Washington DC Area. We were excited to bring many new activities to the 2018 event including an Opening Session on Tuesday morning featuring guest speaker, Tim Miles who specializes in marketing presentations, presenting “Brand Your Own Business”. The session was a success with over 50 attendees sharing the information provided by Paintball Extravaganza’s first professional speaker presentation. The use of an outside professional speaker had been suggested by many as a positive addition to the event. The Opening Session led into three days of 012 paintball.media magazine The popular Industry Luncheon returned on Wednesday with the return of guest speaker Tim Miles accompanied by his business partner, Ryan Patrick. Their informational and somewhat entertaining marketing presentation was well received by over 80 participants including event attendees and industry leaders. Wrapping up the luncheon was another one hour round table discussion touching on many industry topics. Among one of the most pressing issues touched on during the discussion was the fragmentation of the industry and the impact it is having on businesses. Tim Miles and Ryan Patrick also presented a very popular workshop on successful marketing along with another session which provided participants an opportunity to ask specific questions and gain solutions to topics that may be affecting their businesses. Every registered business received a free recently released workbook co-authored by Tim and Ryan.
