have to live with the choices you make.
For me, the answer rests somewhere
in the middle. I am willing, and have,
cast spells in the past for self-protec-
tion. However, I draw the line at sto-
pping others from following their path
and experiencing the good and bad
karma they are destined to experience.
All that being said, it still lea-
ves us with how should we answer the
“Glenda” question? In the end, I belie-
ve the basic question, “are you a good
witch or a bad witch?” shows us the
need to educate the questioner about
our beliefs, practices, and how we see
the world instead of giving them just a
platitudinal answer.

do I have an army of flying monkeys to
do my bidding, although at times I wish
did.
The truth is, I don’t think any of
us, no matter how hard we try, is a good
or bad witch. We all have our moments
in life when we are better or worse
than we thought we were. While there
are actions which we can take that are
clearly virtuous or malevolent, the truth
is, most of our actions lay somewhere
in the gray area, depending on how you
look at things. For example, defending
yourself from the harm caused to you
by others may be a good action, but
manipulating a person’s perception of
you, may not. What about casting a
spell to keep someone from self-harm?
Ultimately, how you answer these ques-
tions is going to be up to you, as you will
It still leaves us with
how should we answer the
“Glenda” question?
