A s we saw in the last chapter , events in the end times will happen rapidly . Once the Antichrist appears on the scene , things will occur at an incredible pace . What will happen at the end will lead to a horrible tragedy . The Bible tells us that a time is coming that will be more traumatic and terrifying than any thing you and I could imagine . The Bible calls this seven year period the Great Tribulation .

The Tribulation is a seven year period that takes place before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ . It will be a time when Satan reigns through the Antichrist , when men show their absolute rebellion towards God , and God pours out His iudQments on mankind .
Jesus spoke of just how awful the Tribulation period would be when He said in Matthew 24:21-22 —
Matthew 24:21-22 ( NIIV ) 21 ) " For then there will be great distress , unequaled from the beginning of the world until now - and never to be equaled again . 22 ) If those days had not been cut short , no one would survive , but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened . "
