D . AT THE TIME OF THE RAPTURE , CHRISTIANS WHO ARE STILL ALIVE WILL BE CAUGHT UP IN THE AIR TO MEET CHRIST AND BE WITH HIM FOREVER .
When we think of the Rapture it is easy to forget about the heavenly sonic boom and the fact that the dead in Christ will rise first . But just about every Christian thinks about the moment he or she will be snatched instantly from the realm of this earth into the realm of the heavenly . Paul talks about this in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 —

1 Thessalonians 4:17 ( NIV ) " After that , we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air . And so we will be with the Lord fore ver "
As we have already seen , in the time it takes to blink an eye , Christians will be supernaturally removed from this earth . Those believers who are alive on this earth will join in the air all of the believers who have already died in Christ . Like those who have gone before us , we , too will be given `Resurrection ' bodies . In an instant our old , frail , decaying body with all it ' s weaknesses will be transformed into a body like the body of Jesus Christ . We will find ourselves surrounded by tens of millions of people who love Christ . But most importantly , we will see Jesus who has come to meet us in the air . When we see Him , we will be comforted with the truth that we will be with Christ forever .
