The Second Coming of Christ in Revelation 19:11-21
The glorious appearing of Jesus Christ is easily the most exciting event in all Bible prophecy . In Christ ' s first coming , He came humbly , born in a manger . He was cursed , spit on , abused even to the point of being crucified by those He had created . At our Lord ' s Second Coming , He will not come in humility but in " power and great glory ." This passage of Scripture may have more impact on your students than any other . We added this section to the Teacher ' s Guide to assist you in teaching your students about the glorious and powerful Second Coming of Jesus Christ . In John ' s vision , Christ appears from Heaven as a Righteous Judge and Warrior . He is riding a white horse which symbolizes victory . His eyes are like blazing fire ; nothing is hidden from His sight — He sees all and knows all . The many crowns on His head tell us that He alone is King over all the earth . He is wearing a robe dipped in blood — His own blood from the Cross — that the armies of Heaven , that is you and me , might be dressed in fine linen , white , and clean . When Christ appears from Heaven it will be a glorious sight .
