Daniel is so frightened and confused about the 4th Beast and the " Other Horn ," that he wants to know more . He is told that the 4th beast is a 4th kingdom that will appear on earth . This is the Roman empire which has long since passed away . But out of this kingdom will arise 10 horns . Daniel is told that these ten horns represent ten kings who will come from this old Roman empire . Daniel also wants to know about the " other horn ." The " other horn " is none other than the Antichrist . He will arise within this ten nation confederacy . He will subdue three kings and take over the kingdom . He will speak against God and persecute his people . Daniel was deeply troubled by his vision and the explanation of it .
