• almost as though the only things that govern our lives are the happenings of today .

What clothes we should wear what car we should drive , what party we should go to ... all
, . for today ,
But after awhile our shallow lives of living
. for today leave us empty apathetic with purposelessness as our only compass The Bible talks about
• people who live for today in Isaiah 22:13 —

• " But see , there is joy and revelry , slaughtering of cattle and killing of sheep ,
• eating of meat and drinking of wine ! `Let us eat and drink , ' you say , for tomorrow we die !'" •
