Dear Reader,
Aravind Batra Vice President
Our elementary, middle and high schools are the daily hubs where young students learn and grow. But many are also community spaces where parents gather for events and individuals make use of facilities after classes. K-12 districts today have to take these considerations into mind and do more with less as they plan for the future. Some of the top concerns are modernizing campuses, improving indoor air quality and comfort, strengthening life-safety and security, and delivering new learning environments that support a variety of programs like career and technical education( CTE), performing arts, athletics, and student wellness. Any improvements districst emabark on must also happen on seasonal schedules, with careful phasing, and often on occupied campuses.
P2S supports K-12 districts and surrounding communities by being a reliable partner that brings clarity to complex challenges and then offers solutions. We help plan and deliver high-performing campuses through MEPT design, fire protection engineering, commissioning and construction management services from highly experienced individuals in the K-12 facilities sector. From utility coordination and system upgrades to integrated lowvoltage design and performance-focused solutions, our role is to help schools stay operational while building toward the future.
P2S and the nationwide Legence network are partners in K-12 facility upgrades, and this issue of P2S Magazine spotlights the projects we’ re delivering in this highly varied sector. Read on for project profiles that highlight modernization, safety, and system integration, insights from K-12 Studio Leaders on what they’ re seeing in their projects, a new K-12 focused podcast and to keep up with the latest news and awards.
Many of our K-12 focused staff will be attending the CASH conference later this month. We hope to see some of you there as we dream of more ways our industry can help districts and communities to invest in our schools. P2S will remain committed to helping deliver K-12 campuses that are ready for the future.
As always, thank you for your continued support. We hope you’ ve enjoyed a wonderful beginning to 2026!

Sincerely, Aravind Batra, Vice-President
