ACEC CA, 2026 Engineering Excellence Award
P2S is proud to be recognized with the ACEC California Merit Award for our team’ s work as lead engineers for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology design on the Saddleback College Advanced Technology and Education Park( ATEP) Building 1 project.
Housing the college’ s Culinary / Hospitality and Advanced Transportation & Logistics Programs, the ATEP Building distinguishes itself through its innovative, sustainable design and its forward-thinking approach to energy efficiency. The complex operates entirely free of combustible fuels, utilizing advanced heat recovery systems and Air Source Heat Pumps.
The ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards honor projects that stand out in quality and complexity, as well as those that deliver significant value to their surrounding communities. This Merit Award reflects the impactful role P2S plays in designing educational environments that set new standards in engineering excellence.
Engineering News-Record( ENR), 2025 Project of the Year Finalist
P2S is honored to share that our work on Virginia Mason Franciscan Health’ s St. Francis Family Birth Center has been named a 2025 Project of the Year Finalist by Engineering News-Record( ENR) West.
As one of only three finalists selected by a jury of established industry professionals, this is one of commercial construction’ s most prestigious and coveted honors. The project automatically advances for consideration for the national Best of the Best Awards this spring as well.
The P2S team upgraded the St. Francis Family Birth Center in Washington, delivering a significantly expanded and modernized care environment. It now includes— among other improvements— 14 postpartum / antepartum rooms, program space for breastfeeding education and pelvic physical therapy, and a new Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit( NICU) to care for babies born as early as 32 weeks. Earlier this year, the project also earned ENR West’ s 2025 Best Health Care Project as part of the Northwest Regional Best Project Awards.
