PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
California State University, Chico Central Plant Expansion Cx
About the Project P2S Commissioning is providing commissioning services for the new $ 13.4 million Central Plant Improvement Project at CSU Chico consisting of an addition of a new chiller and two new steam boilers that will be housed in the new addition to the plant building. A new cooling tower and new thermal storage tank will also be added to the site. The systems to be commissioned will be all the new chilled water equipment including chiller, cooling tower, pumps, TES tank and controls; new steam production equipment including boilers, deaerator and controls; interface of new equipment with existing equipment; refrigerant monitoring and exhaust system, energy management and control systems.
Our Solutions Design and submittal review is being conducted so that layout, installation and operation of the equipment can be optimized and any changes that are needed can be implemented before the large equipment is on site. When the equipment is installed, piped, started up, and when the controls are set up and programmed, we will test the systems through their full range of operation. We will assist with setting each system up to operate efficiently and smoothly and to eliminate as many post-turnover operational issues as possible. We will monitor the system during the warranty period and assist the campus in facilitating correction of any deficiencies found as the system goes through its first year of operation.
