School District. But LAUSD is just on such a bigger
scale, the Lincoln High School modernization, which
we’re working on, is a $120 million construction.
I’m also involved in the Sherman Oaks Center for
Enriched Studies design-build modernization and
helping with the Huntington Park High School
modernization as well.
When LAUSD does a “comp mod”, a comprehensive
modernization, every building gets evaluated and
brought to current standards. If it makes financial
sense, some buildings are demolished and replaced.
Sherman Oaks is getting three all new buildings,
Lincoln High is getting one new building and having
four more completely renovated. The district is
also taking the opportunity to increase classroom
count by knocking down some of their single-
story buildings and replacing them with two-story
classroom buildings.
