CSE MEP Giants
P2S has been named a 2018 MEP Giant by Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) magazine. P2S has
placed #47 on the 2018 list, gaining five spots over last year. The MEP Giants are the top 100 mechanical,
electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering firms in the U.S. as ranked by total MEP design
revenue.
An in-depth analysis of the firms and the national MEP design industry appears in CSE’s August issue
and reveals the state of the industry and how it has changed over the past few years. Firms selected as
a 2018 MEP Giant are invited to attend the Consulting-Specifying Engineer 2018 MEP Giants awards
event in Chicago in the fall.
BD+C Giants 300
P2S has once again been featured on several of Building Design+Construction (BD+C) magazine’s lists
of the top performing engineering firms in the nation. We made the top 30 in BD+C’s Top 70 Engineering
Firms list. The Engineering Giants Report mentions P2S’ adoption of customer relationship management
(CRM) software to help manage business development and project management. BD+C narrows the field
by evaluating firms based on sector specialization and this year, P2S earned a spot in the Top Construction
Management Firms list for the first time since the introduction of P2S CM in 2016. We also made first time
appearances in the Office and Retail Sector lists.
Designs for the University Sector continue to be a strong suit of ours, and we retained a top ten ranking, as
in 2017.
Healthcare facilities and data centers both share a need for resilient designs and P2S holds a firm position
in the Healthcare Sector and jumped ahead in Data Centers. Data Center design faces the challenge of
keeping facilities cool while healthcare facilities must ensure patient comfort and safety.
Firms working in the K-12 Sector are not only modernizing but considering how student learning behaviors
are affected by their interior environment. Effective daylighting and indoor air quality are top concerns,
and energy-efficient P2S designs maximize natural light and ensure that indoor air quality is the best
possible.
P2S airport revenue has increased significantly since our last appearance on the list and we hope to
continue this trend for next year. As outdated airports begin to modernize to accommodate the growing
number of travelers we believe that there will be a lot of activity in the airport sector in the years to come.
