Palomar College , Net-Zero Ready Fallbrook Education Center
Project Overview The Net Zero Ready Fallbrook Education Center is a new , 77,037 SF academic building at Palomar College ’ s Fallbrook Campus . The new facility will include spaces for administration , a library and learning resource center , a student & community center , academic classrooms , science labs , and a communication data center . The facility also includes a local chilled water plant , which will be sized for approximately 250 tons of cooling , utilizing air-cooled chillers near the project building .
Long Beach Community College District , Integrated Net Zero Energy Master Plan
Project Overview P2S delivered a comprehensive energy master plan for LBCC ’ s Liberal Arts and Pacific Coast campuses . The plan determined current and future energy use , identified energy-efficient projects completed to date and the path and cost benefits of net-zero energy . Sustainable elements considered for the plan were GHG Emissions , on-site renewables , water use , environmentally preferable purchasing , financing , delivery , EV charging stations and monitoring and reporting . We estimated that energy reduction measures and the savings from operations costs resulted in approximately $ 1.8 million in annual savings for LBCC .
