20 years . Self-reliance is the general intent . Some companies want to overengineer their solution , in case they have grown in their footprint . And if they have excess energy that they can put back into the grid and make money from , that ’ s an economic bonus .
Where do you see the sustainable energy market heading ? What current trends do you expect to accelerate ? CS : Facilities moving towards renewable energy is just the beginning . Electric vehicle adoption is increasing , and many businesses are implementing EV charging in their parking areas . The question is , how do we feed those EV chargers ? How will we incorporate renewable energy into the EV charging infrastructure ? How will we build out the charging infrastructure ? The answer is to refine , improve , and scale-up our existing renewable energy technologies . As costs drop and technology improves like we ’ ve seen for PV panels and now with energy storage , the next wave of sustainable energy will be better and cheaper versions of what we have now . This will dramatically increase the infrastructure needed to keep up with new energy demand from EV charging .
One last thing , we understand you ’ re doing a webinar on funding for energy solutions . Can you tell us a little about that ? CS : Yes , it ’ s going to be me , P2S Vice-President , Aravind Batra , and Jean Dunn , who is CEO of Structured Finance Associates , which provides PACE financing . This webinar is going to offer a lot of information on financing . We want to educate clients on what we can do to help clients move projects forward with near-zero capital expenditure . They can get energy-efficient renewable energy solutions without it affecting their budget . We have resources that we can work with to help clients in the public sector and resources for private clients . We ’ re dedicated to assisting clients in getting energy projects started with favorable conditions . That ’ s going to be important in the coming years . I invite anyone with interest in the topic to join us on November 4th for the webinar .
