BICSI Western Region Meeting at P2S Last December , the P2S Technology Group had the honor of hosting the BICSI U . S . Western Region Meeting at the P2S office in Long Beach . P2S set aside the 7th floor common areas and welcomed BICSI members and vendors for a day of presentations , seminars , vendor exhibitions , prizes and fun activities . The presentations covered new products and services while seminar topics included the Internet of Things ( IoT ), Distributed Antenna Systems ( DAS ), basics for AV System development , design guidelines for fiber-optic systems , and fire safety for communications cabling . Pat McMurry , the BICSI Western Region Director , ended the meeting with a Q & A and some closing remarks . Thank you to BICSI for allowing P2S to serve as hosts .
John Kacperski Honored at BICSI Awards BICSI member and Registered Communications Distribution Designer ( RCDD ), John Kacperski , had a memorable time at the 2018 BICSI Winter Conference in Orlando , Florida . And not only because he enjoyed the pleasant winter Florida weather . At the conference ’ s Annual Members Meeting , John was honored by outgoing BICSI president Brian Ensign for his service as the Chair of the BICSI International Standards Committee .
Later at the conference ’ s Annual Awards Banquet , John also received the Larry G . Romig 2017 BICSI Committee Member of the Year award .
