EDITOR’S LET TER
Kevin Peterson, President/CEO
Dear Reader,
As a design firm, it’s important that we have full mastery of current trends and
technologies on the market. Equally important is that we also know what trends
and emerging technologies are coming down the road. We believe that firms have
a responsibility to inform clients about upcoming trends, so they can consider
them on their projects.
The P2S Technology Team brings this forward-thinking attitude not only to
dedicated technology projects, but also to projects where technology design is
integrated within another design market. Increasingly sophisticated IT, AV, and
security systems are appearing at healthcare facilities and schools, creating a
bigger overlap between technology design and healthcare and education design.
This issue features interviews between our leading IT/security designers and
engineers active in healthcare and K-12 design. We spoke to them to learn
about the how their respective disciplines will intersect in 2018 and beyond,
technologies currently being used in the healthcare and education markets and
emerging technologies that might soon appear at a facility near you.
As you may be aware by now, we’ve re-branded, re-structured, and launched
a new website. Our new brand honors our history and looks toward the future,
imagining ways that we can use our skills to design a more sustainable built
environment and a better future for people. We also clarified our company
structure creating distinct brand divisions to increase visibility and awareness
of all the services we offer. If you haven’t already, visit WEareP2S.com to learn
more.
We hope you enjoy reading this issue of P2S Magazine. We welcome your
