Student Success Center
The lighting design for the new Student Success Center at UCR had to align with the University ’ s goal of creating a new campus focal point dedicated to student empowerment . The 3-story , 62,000 GSF building comprises general assignment classrooms for modern teaching and technology , multi-purpose student life spaces , and dining services . The Student Success Center is carbon-neutral ready and pursuing LEED Gold Certification .
High-efficiency light fixtures and lighting controls combine with abundant natural lighting to create beautifully lit spaces where students can study and learn to their full capacity . In addition to cutting-edge lighting design , the building includes state-ofthe-art controls and metering that allow the University to control and monitor every building system to ensure they ’ re performing as desired .
