Editor’ s Note

Dear Reader,
Kent Peterson Vice President
The current moment for the U. S. healthcare sector is one of cautious optimism, with expectations for growth and expanded access to care tempered by labor shortages and regulatory uncertainty. As healthcare systems update their growth strategies and adopt new technologies, they need trusted partners to modernize and maintain their facilities. This is especially true in California, where hospitals must meet new seismic compliance requirements by 2030. P2S provides MEP design for healthcare facilities throughout the West Coast, and through Legence, we have a nationwide network of design experts ready to tackle the most complex challenges that healthcare facilities might face.
P2S and Legence understand the challenges facing healthcare facilities, from regulatory pressures to shrinking margins, rapidly advancing medical technologies and growing( and aging) patient populations. Our healthcare design teams work with stakeholders to design and deliver MEP systems for facilities that support the providers delivering care and the patients recovering. Our team is full of individuals who are deeply experienced in the design of healthcare spaces, who are embedded in the sector and can advise clients on what design strategies and equipment work best to achieve their goals.
This issue of P2S Magazine highlights our commitment to the healthcare sector. Within, you’ ll read stories and discover projects demonstrating how P2S and the design industry can support healthcare providers and their facilities. You’ ll hear from Healthcare Market Leader Zoltan Mezei on the state of healthcare design, learn how P2S is helping California hospitals meet new seismic regulations, and read about projects improving access or delivering new treatment facilities to their communities.
As healthcare systems confront challenges and make the most of opportunities, P2S and Legence remain focused on delivering integrated solutions that enable providers to care for their patients.
Time sure does fly when you’ re delivering solutions to clients. We hope you take some time to assess how the first part of your year has gone and take those lessons into the remaining months of 2025. Thanks once again for reading and your continued support. Please make the most of the rest of your summer.

Sincerely, Kent Peterson, Vice President
