Mead Valley Behavioral Health Village
P2S is providing MEPT engineering services for Riverside University Health System’ s( RUHS) Behavioral Wellness Village. The site is being renovated to include five buildings with a total area of approximately 450,000 SF. The project is pursuing LEED Silver to focus on reducing energy consumption and waste, managing resources efficiently, and reducing operating costs and environmental impact. RUHS received $ 80 million in grants from the state of California to improve Riverside County’ s behavioral health Infrastructure.
The Village provides an entire behavioral health and wellness care continuum, from urgent treatment to supportive housing, including outpatient care, education and social services. It includes various park settings, activity areas, and outdoor gathering areas. Amenities include a market, cafe and pet hotel. It will provide muchneeded community, social, behavioral, wellness and medical services to the local population.
The Village is located on 20 acres of County of Riversideowned property in Perris, California. The program consists of five buildings to support outpatient behavioral health services, short-stay behavioral health programs, residential treatment programs( adult and children’ s), a recovery residence, and support housing. This project is estimated to be completed by 2026.
The five buildings are: Supportive Transitional Housing, Urgent Care Services, Extended Residential Community, Children and Youth Services, and Community Wellness and Education Center.
