The Consolidated Rent-a-Car Facility ( ConRAC ) is a key element to Los Angeles World Air-port ’ s multi-billion dollar Landside Access Modernization Program ( LAMP ) for Los Angeles International Airport ( LAX ). The ConRAC project focuses on accommodating the demands of rental car customers in the future . This program is designed to meet the operational requirements of the current on-airport operators and to accommodate the growth of and entry into the LAX market by independent operators . In addition to the parking stalls , ready / return spaces , idle vehicle storage spaces , and rental car employee spaces , the program includes the a multi-level , 780,000 SF Quick Turn-Around ( QTA ) facility for on-site fuelling , washing , and light maintenance of rental care vehicles .
P2S was trusted to be the exclusive commissioning subcontractor to PCL Construction . Our team is providing LEED Enhanced Commissioning under LEED v4 .
The LAX Terminal 4 / 5 Modernization Program will be constructed in no more than three phases . The Modernization Program ’ s construction will continue alongside the current T4.5 Core construction . In the Core phases 1A , 2A and 2B , the T5 Secure Connector , East and Central Headhouse components will be built . These phases are set to begin in 2021 and be completed by 2027 . Similarly , the T4 Concourse expansion consists of three phases that will start in 2021 and are scheduled for completion in 2028 , before the Summer Olympics . P2S is providing Commissioning services that also satisfy LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning requirements .
P2S provided commissioning services from the design phase to the occupancy phase . This includes reviewing the OPR , BOD , and other organization guiding documents . Performing a design review and providing recommendations to the owner and design team . Developing a Developing a commissioning specification to cover owner requirements relating to systems to be commissioned , training requirements , testing requirements , submittal requirements , and communication timelines .
To satisfy LEED Fundamental Commissioning requirements P2S reviewed the OPR , BOD , and project design , developed and implemented a Cx Plan , confirmed incorporation of commissioning requirements into the construction documents , developed construction checklists , developed system test procedures , verified system test execution , maintain issues log thoughout commissioning process , prepare a Cx Report , and documents for all findings and recommendations .

To satisfy LEED Enhanced Commissioning Requirements P2S completed option 1 , path 1 . This includes reviewing contractor submittals , verifying inclusion of system manual requirements in construction documents , verifying inclusion of occupant / O & M training requirements in construction documents , ensure System ’ s Manual updates and delivery , verifying occupant / O & M training ( including seasonal training ), reviewing building operations 10-months after substantial completion , developing an On-going Commissioning Plan , and including LEED Enhanced Commissioning tasks in the OPR and BOD .
