Ways the N to Give to Coun ational c of St. il Society de Pa Vincent ul In the mission statement of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, it talks about a Vincentian Vocation. “Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay Organization, leads women and men join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founds, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul…Organized locally Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, VINCENTANS SEE THE FACE OF CHRIST. 3 Cash Contributions-are used to provide support to Vincentian’s across the country. 3 Special Programs: • • • • • • • Friends of the Poor Grant Program––provides $80,000 annually to conferences to aid them in their work with the poor Hope Mobile Kitchen––a full service mobile kitchen used for disaster relief and promoting the need for more meal programs for the poor Youth Programs––providing leadership experiences National Vehicle Donation Program––used vehicles are turned into cash to assist local Society of St. Vincent Estate Planning––a simple Will is the best technique to ensure your life assets are distributed in accordance to your desire. Gifts to the national council assist Conferences/Councils across the country develop a deeper Vincentian Vocation. Friends of the Poor Walk/Run––take the fight for poverty to the street and join in this national special event, held annually around September 27th.
