BRITISH CITIZENS:
Born before 1st January 1983
• Valid passport or
• Birth certificate and photo ID with evidence of

• Naturalisation certificate and photo ID.
Acceptable documents are:

Home Office travel document
• Indefinite
Leave to Remain
• Marriage
or civil partnership visa.
Proof of Current address
Born after 1st January 1983

• Naturalisation certificate and photo ID or
• Full birth certificate and photo ID with evidence
of current name, together with evidence of your
parents’ nationality
(passport or birth certificate). • Council
tax bill (current year)
• Utility
bill (dated within the last three months)
• Bank
statement (dated within the last month)
• Valid
UK driving licence
• A
letter signed by the owner of the house who is
able to confirm your residence over the previous
seven days.
EEA NATIONALS:
• Valid passport or
• National photo ID card. Please note: original documents are
needed, photocopies are not acceptable.
FOREIGN NATIONALS:
You will need to provide proof of your full name,
age, nationality and address. With the introduction
of the Immigration Act 2014, some foreign
nationals may be subject to immigration control.
They may be referred to the Home Office if they
do not hold either Indefinite Leave to Remain or a
marriage or civil partnership visa, and the waiting
period extended to 70 days.
