COMBINE YOUR LEGAL CEREMONY IN ANY ONE OF OUR DISTRICT OFFICE CEREMONY ROOMS
FOLLOWED BY A CELEBRATORY CEREMONY IN A VENUE OF YOUR CHOICE.
What is a Legal & Celebratory ceremony?
A Legal & Celebratory ceremony is a legal and
bespoke ceremonial marriage or civil partnership
package in two parts.
The legal marriage or civil partnership takes place
in a local authority ceremony room followed by a
celebratory ceremony, usually held in a location
which would not be eligible to be licensed for
marriages or civil partnerships.
YOUR DAY
YOUR WAY
Why do couples choose them and how
popular are they?
Couples choose a Legal & Celebratory ceremony
because they wish to celebrate their marriage or
civil partnership in a venue that is not licensed for
ceremonies such as a marquee in their parents’
garden, or another spot which is special to the
couple.
These Legal & Celebratory ceremonies are
increasing in popularity as it gives couples
the best of both options:- a legal marriage or
civil partnership with the freedom to have a
celebration of that marriage or civil partnership
where they choose.
How do I arrange one?
You need to contact our help desk on
0345 241 2489 to discuss your options.
Are there legal requirements I need to fulfil?
There are no legal requirements for the
celebratory ceremony itself. However, once you
have decided where you wish to hold your legal
ceremony you would need to give your Notice of
Marriage or Civil Partnership.
