Bodleian Library
On our third day we visited the Bodleian Library which is the library of Oxford University and one of the biggest libraries in the world. It contains more than 12 million books and artefacts. Also Harry Potter scenes were filmed inside a big hall, which belongs to the library. Equipped with audioguides we discovered the heart of the library. The bookshelves, which extend to the ceiling, are completely filled with old books, which date back to the Middle ages. We were all riveted by the aura of the historical building.
The library was big and had another design than what I had expected. many of the things we learned about the library were very interesting. The fact that there is a tunnel full of books under the ground, was cool.
